Useless Wooden Toys were born in 2002. Debut album Dancegum (I Dischi de la Valigetta/Self) came out in 2008, recorded by Stefano “Stylophonic” Fontana and Roberto Baldi, and shaped by Bugo’s touch of genius. Soon they released The Dancegum Mix, containing remixes by Spiller, Scuola Furano, Cécile, Funkabit, and many more. “Teen Drive In (Spiller rmx)” has been a great summer hit in 2009 and was included into a lot of Italian compilations.
They hit dance floors of the best Italian clubs and festivals, such as Mtv Day, Miami Festival, Magnolia Parade, Tenax, Urban, Circolo degli Artisti, Europavox and shared consoles with Crookers, the Glimmers, MSTRKFT, etc.
Useless Wooden Toys logo and entire visual image has been just restyled by Mauro Gatti, one of the most important Italian artists and designers.
